The egg is a deep, cherry deep red guilloche enamel of a very fine quality, surrounded by solid 56 (14k) gold lattice with (8) stunning, mine-cut diamonds. The piece is marked with "56" pre-revolution Russian gold standard, master initials in Cyrillic, and Russian city mark for Moscow 1896. The egg measures 16.44mm (0.65").
