Est. $17,000-$20,000 Karl Faberge Solid "56" Gold & Iridescent Golden Guilloche Enamel, Cabochon Ruby & Akoya Pearl Brooch (Previously Sold at Christie's Geneva 1994) From: Ken Eberhardt Estate - This piece is made of solid "56" (Russian Standard for 14K) Yellow Gold. The masterpiece truly is a one of a kind piece. The edges are lined with a stunning, iridescent golden-pink guilloche enamel. The center of the piece displays a floral and foliate motif scene. The flower is adorned with (5) NEAR FLAWLESS ruby cabochons that are raised off of the piece. The piece is then strategically embelished with AAA South Sea Pearls. This piece came from the estate of Ken Eberhardt. Mr. Eberhardt is not only one of the world's most dedicated experts on all things Faberge, he also had a very unique collection of Faberge master works. This piece sold at Christie's Auction in Geneva in 1994. It was also featured in their catalogue, which will also be sent to the winning bidder. This piece sold in 1994 for $17,000 (per the information provided by the seller). A written provenance will be provided with this piece from the time of purchase in 1994. The piece is in absolutely stunning condition for a piece that is over 100 years old. The piece is marked "K.F" (in Crylic), "56" & "R.L". This piece is of such great importance because this is one of the two unrecorded masters of Faberge during 1896-1908 in Moscow. Many of the Faberge record were lost due to the revolution, and these pieces truly are modern day treasures. With the sales history from Christie's and the expert collector provenance, this piece is a must have for any Faberge collection. This is a one of a kind piece. Measures: 24mm x 21.3mm, and has a Imperial Russian Era "Hook Eye" closure.
