Urn Shaped Solid Sterling Silver Salt Cellars W/Mini Casting Spoons in Silk & Velvet Lined Fitted Case - This set includes four urn shaped solid sterling silver salt cellars and one hinged, covered salt cellar. The pieces are hallmarked JH & Co., with a walking lion, a panther head, and the date letter "P". They are all in excellent condition and are gilt lined. This is a rare set that will surely satisfy any English silver collector. The associated fitted case is leather on the outside and purple semi-tufted velvet on the inside with purple silk on the top of the inside. The top of the silk reads "By Appointment" in gold, with a royal crest of lion and a unicorn, and "Heming & Co. 28 Conduit St London W." With this set are four matching salt spoons with maker's marks MH, 925, star, a walking lion, and date letter "A". The four matching salt spoons measure 2.5" long. There is also a 2.75" spoon included with the covered cellar. The pedestal form handled salt cellars measure 3.25" wide from handle to handle, 2" high, and have a 2.25" diameter. The hinged, covered salt cellar measures 3" high, 3.25" long, and 2.5" wide. The case measures 13" x 9". (Total Weight of the entire set: 408.7 Grams)
