Est. $7,500-$9,000 Michele Greco (Italian, 1966-) Original Mixed Media on Canvas "Toro" Painting W/Gold Leaf Accents in Ornate Wood & Gilt Gold Frame - This piece is an original, mixed media on canvas painting, depicting a raging bull. The piece was painted in 1999 by Italian artist Michele Greco, and is titled "Toro". The use of rich, warm acrylic paints paired with the gold leaf accents give the piece a beautiful style. The ornate, wood and gilt gold frame goes lovely with the warm colors of the painting, and finishes the piece beautifully. The unique use of geometric shapes paired with the use of sharp lines and like colors is the typical style of Greco. Greco's works exhibit originality in forms and color, and never forget the history and social aspect of the people of the mediterranian civilization and bronze age. His style exhibits spontaneity mixed with naturalness, modern with antique art as well as the western with the oriental world. The piece (including the frame) measures 50" x 27" (approximately).
