Silver Saltwater Crocodile Early Releases $1 Coin Graded MS70 in NGC Slab - The Australian Silver Saltwater Crocodile Coin was released by the Perth Mint in 2014 as part of their Wildlife Series. The coin had a limited production run of only 1,000,000 minted, and this particular coin has a perfect grade of MS70 by NGC. On top of its pristine condition, this coin also features the Early Releases label, which guarantees that it was received by NGC within 30 days of release. The coin has been struck from 1 ounce .999 fine silver and has a denomination of $1. The obverse of the coin shows Bindi, a popular crocodile who lives in the Australian Zoo. He is shown at the center, with the words "Australian Saltwater Crocodile" encircled above him. Below is the year of issue, the weight and purity as well as the mintmark ÒPÓ to denote the Perth Mint. The reverse of the coin features a side profile image of Queen Elizabeth II as portrayed by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the denomination below her, and "Elizabeth II" and "Australia" on each side of her.
