Est. $450-$600 1997 Charles Sherman "The Hand of Creation" Limited Edition Bronze Sculpture Numbered 3/36 *Signed* - This stunning piece was created by Los Angeles-based jewelry designer and sculptor Charles Sherman. Sherman has studied ancient civilizations, world cultures and religions, and sacred geometry, and his philosophy on life and art are the same: "To promote the positive." This piece depicts the creative process of the Divine, and is also a metaphor for birth and the creative process. The hand is double life-sized, and expresses grace, strength, and wisdom. The primordial umbilical cord flows out of the index finger, giving birth to Adam, whose name in Hebrew means Humanity. This gorgeous piece is signed, dated 97, and numbered 3/36, and was part of the 1997 "Bible Series". The sculpture is cast bronze with patinas, and rests on a marble base. Measures 23.5"H x 16"W (approximately).
