Paris Solid Sterling Silver Heavy Repousse Footed Filigree Finger Dish Made by William Comyns & Sons Ltd *VERY RARE* - This extremely rare piece was made by William Comyns & Sons Ltd, made for Tiffany & Co. Paris when the company was under the directorship of Charles L. Tiffany. William Comyns & Sons Ltd was a very important firm of manufacturing silversmiths, which had enormous success producing a vast amount of goods retailed by many of the foremost shops including Tiffany & Co of New York and Paris. This piece is extremely rare, as these collaborative pieces are becoming harder and harder to come by. This beautiful piece has a heavy repousse, filigree detail throughout. The piece is hallmarked for William Comyns & Sons Ltd, has the English silver standard mark, the London city mark, and is hallmarked for the year 1894. The piece is also stamped Tiffany & Co. Paris, and has an export mark. The piece measures 1.25"H x 3"W. (43.2 grams)
