Est. $1,500-$1,000,000 Set of Three Blue and White Porcelain Teacups W/Pair of Crabs Among Flowers Scene & Metal Rims (Has Four Character Mark) - These cups depict a lovely scene of a pair of crabs among flowers. The crab symbolizes a wish to have many children so that the family can be expanded and prolonged. Selected vessels were finished with rims of silver as early as the Han dynasty to set them apart from the ordinary and to make them suitable for high class clients. These pieces have metal rims, suggesting that they were made for someone of nobility. Measurements: 2.5" diameter x 1.75"H.
