Est. $250-$300 This is an elegant sculpture depicting a dancing lady. Degas was a French artist known as one of the founders of impressionism. Degas's only showing of sculpture during his life took place in 1881 when he exhibited "The Little Fourteen Year Old Dancer", only shown again in 1920; the rest of the sculptural works remained private until a posthumous exhibition in 1918. The sculpture is approx. 15" tall & sits on a 7.5"x5.25" base. Nice piece. Est. value $250-300.
